New Zealand first quarter GDP delayed until the 14th July
5:10 PM (NZT) Statistics New Zealand has announced that the NZ first quarter GDP number due for release tomorrow, 7 July, will now be published on the 14th July.
The February earthquake has meant it has taken longer to collect the necessary data and this has again delayed this release.
The NZD has seen grinbding appreciation on the day, with a lower than expected Governement deficit giving a little more power to the slight risk on tone to an otherwise quiet Asian session.
