Whats happening to the NZD CAD at current levels?

Written by Sam Coxhead on February 10th, 2012.      0 comments

5:40 PM (NZT) The NZD and CAD pairing continues to trade within a range just below the six month highs. Given how close we are to all time high of the NZD over the CAD, needless to say current levels represent very good value buying of CAD with NZ dollars.  Next week does not see a lot of economic data in either economy. In NZ we have the 4th quarter retail sales numbers on Wednesday. In Canada on Friday the latest inflation numbers will be announced. Expect neither to have a large impact on the pairing. Given the loss on momentum on the part of the NZD, investigations lower by the NZ dollar would not surprise.

The current interbank midrate is:                                                            NZDCAD .8292

The interbank range so far this week to date has been:                 NZDCAD .8257 - .8356
