The NZ dollar continues to see pressure from the CAD.

Written by Sam Coxhead on November 16th, 2012.      0 comments

2:41 PM (NZT) The NZ dollar has continued to give up ground against the Canadian dollar over the last week. With little in the way of Canadian news, the NZ dollar underperformance can be solely attributable to horrible 3rd quarter NZ economic data of late. There maybe some respite next week with little in the way of NZ economic news. The focus will be on the Canadian data. If the pair can break, and consolidate through the .8100 level, the way will be opened for further investigations lower towards more historically average levels.

The current interbank midrate is:                                                  NZDCAD .8109

The interbank range so far this week to date has been:       NZDCAD .8090 - .8214
