There was no domestic tier one data out in NZ this week. However the NZ Institute of Economic Research Quarterly Survey of Business Opinion released showed our economic recovery continues to be elusive. The reading showed a significant dip in confidence in recent months. Only 1% of companies surveyed said a pickup in activity had been seen, as compared with the 22% that had indicated they expected a pick up, when surveyed in the prior quarter. So we have a continuation of the theme of an expected activity recovery just around the corner, but it has yet to happen.
